MOOC: Introduction to Digital Humanities
This course offers a broad overview of Digital Humanities from the perspectives of philosophy, history, archaeology, art, and the computational sciences, including computer vision. It provides an interdisciplinary approach to Digital Humanities and Digital Heritage, exploring the key methods and tools employed in the field — such as databases, open data, big data, virtual reality, social media, and image recognition.
The course also encourages critical reflection on the legal and ethical dimensions of technology, and on its wider implications for digital transformation, social innovation, politics, and culture.
