For years, the Faculty has successfully participated in this activity, which this year will reach its most important moment during Talent Week, organized by the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia from November 23 to 27, 2026, at The Hub (Barcelona). Selected projects will have the opportunity to receive specialized training, present themselves before a group of production company representatives, and participate in various industry activities.

Pitching Audiovisual 2026

Before that, the Faculty will carry out an internal selection of the best projects that will represent us at Talent Week. Therefore, we encourage you to submit your project for this 2026 edition. These may be proposals still under development or projects intended to evolve further, created by students of the Faculty, whether coursework projects or Bachelor’s/Master’s Final Projects from the different degrees offered at the Centre.

Projects may be submitted to the Dean’s Office until June 21 (inclusive). They must be sent by email to: pitching.fcc@uab.cat. Late submissions will not be accepted.

The Faculty pitching requirements, aligned with those of the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia, are as follows:

Submitted initiatives must be undergraduate or master’s degree projects produced during the 2025/26 academic year. The professor endorsing the project must sign the cover page of the project summary (below their full name if it is not an electronic signature, so it can be easily identified).

Projects are divided into the following categories:

  • FICTION: Feature films, short films, TV movies, series, web series, mini-series, animation.
  • NON-FICTION: Documentaries, documentary series, webdocs.
  • ENTERTAINMENT: Entertainment content for television and all types of platforms, including OTT platforms and social media: contests, podcasts, formats, etc.
  • VIDEO GAMES
  • NEW TECHNOLOGIES and IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES: transmedia, apps, artificial intelligence, NFTs, visual effects, museum installations, virtual reality, augmented reality, metaverse, mappings, etc.

A student may participate in a maximum of two projects.

PROJECT SUBMISSION

Projects must be submitted by June 21 (inclusive) to: pitching.fcc@uab.cat

Following the Cluster’s guidelines, applicants must submit a single PDF file containing a 2-page explanatory document about the project with the following information (WITHOUT A COVER PAGE):

The document must be in vertical format and respect printing margins. It may contain images, links, and custom layout formatting according to the project’s needs.

DOCUMENT

  • Category in which the project will participate.
  • Type of project submitted (series, docu-series, feature film, etc.) and duration.
  • Storyline: explanation of the project in 2 lines.
  • Synopsis.
  • Audiovisual treatment: description of the narrative style (subjective camera, cold colors, etc.).

  • Production dossier: approximate production cost, target audience, distribution channels, and expected required resources.
  • Project status.
  • Exhibition space for the project and its target audience.
  • Contact person(s): name, email, and phone number.
  • This document may include links with additional information about the project.

AUDIOVISUAL CLIP

  • A video/teaser of a maximum of 3 minutes is recommended, although it is not mandatory to submit the project to the Faculty.
  • New Technologies and Immersive Experiences Projects: interactive, web-based, multiplatform, or transmedia projects must include in the DOCUMENT the interactive treatment and the different platforms that make up the project. It is recommended that the audiovisual clip shows the interaction available to users.
  • Video Game Projects: video game or interactive projects that consider it necessary must include in the DOCUMENT the following information: structure (must the player overcome levels or can they choose how the game develops?), mechanics and rules (scores, penalties, available resources, avatars, etc.). It is recommended that the audiovisual clip shows the interaction available to users.

In addition, the Cluster states that each university may submit to the project selection:

  • 5 projects in total between Fiction and Non-fiction.
  • All projects in new technologies and immersive experiences, video games, and entertainment that the University considers interesting and of sufficient quality.

Projects pre-selected by the different universities will undergo a selection process carried out by the Cluster.

In the case of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, if the number of submitted projects exceeds 15, the Faculty will carry out a pre-selection process, which will be announced on June 30 and communicated to students via email.

If you have any questions, you may send an email to: pitching.fcc@uab.cat

We look forward to seeing you there!!!
