New breakthrough in photocatalysis for hydrogen generation with COFs
A study has been published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society on how to enhance photocatalytic hydrogen evolution using a two-dimensional COF, the result of a collaboration between the CatSyNanoMat group (UAB) and the team of Prof. Bettina V. Lotsch (Max Planck Institute). This study demonstrates how to combine two-dimensional photocatalytic materials with well-defined catalytic centres and efficient electron donors, opening the door to more sustainable and efficient systems for hydrogen generation using visible light.
