Before the mobility
Here you will find relevant information regarding the admission process and the initial steps to be completed prior your arrival at the UAB.
Nominated students will receive a letter of acceptance and a student identification number (NIU).
Before the mobility
Exchange students must meet the admission requirements of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities:
- Be enrolled in a related field of study.
- According to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), students enrolling in courses offered by the Faculty must meet a minimum language requirement depending on the language of instruction of the selected courses.
Students taking courses in English:
- No language certificate is required for students coming from English-speaking countries.
- Students from non-English-speaking countries must demonstrate a minimum B2 level of English.
- In any case, students are advised to consult course syllabi, as some courses may require a higher level.
Students taking courses in Spanish and/or Catalan:
- No language certificate is required for students from Spanish- or Catalan-speaking countries or regions.
- Due to the linguistic proximity between Spanish and Catalan, a B2 certificate in either language is sufficient regardless of the language of instruction.
- Students from other countries must demonstrate a minimum B2 level in Spanish or Catalan.
The required level may be demonstrated through:
- An official certificate
- A certificate issued by the home university confirming the required level
- A certificate confirming that the student studies fully in the language or has completed at least 90 ECTS credits in it.
