Incoming Students from Other UAB Faculties
According to UAB regulations, incoming exchange students may take up to 50% of their credits in faculties other than their host centre, subject to availability and compliance with the established procedures.
Exchange students must meet the admission requirements of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities:
- In accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), students must meet the minimum language requirement depending on the language of instruction of the selected courses.
Students taking courses in English
- No certificate is required for students from English-speaking countries.
- Students from non-English-speaking countries must demonstrate a minimum B2 level of English.
- Students are advised to consult course syllabi, as higher levels may be required in some cases.
Students taking courses in Spanish and/or Catalan:
- No certificate is required for students from Spanish- or Catalan-speaking regions.
- Students from other countries must demonstrate a minimum B2 level in Spanish or Catalan.
- Students are advised to consult course syllabi, as higher levels may be required in some cases.
- Due to linguistic proximity, a B2 certificate in either language is sufficient regardless of the language of instruction.
Accepted Proof of Language Level
- Official certificate
- Certificate issued by the home university confirming the required level
- Certificate confirming full study or at least 90 ECTS credits completed in the language

If a course is not in the list, incoming students cannot enrol it.
Master’s courses may only be taken if:
- The agreement with the home university includes this level.
- Approval is granted by the UAB Master’s programme coordination.
Course selection is carried out through the official application platform. If a course does not appear or cannot be selected, it means it is either not offered to incoming students from other faculties or is already full
Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. No additional places will be open.
Requests that do not follow the official procedure will not be accepted.
Contacting teaching staff directly to obtain a place is not considered a valid procedure.
Enrolment in courses at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities is the responsibility of the host center.
Students are responsible for:
- Ensuring that their enrolment is correct, and
- Contacting their Exchange Office in case of any issues
