About the Positions
The Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB) invites applications for two tenure-track Lecturer positions in Political Science within the Department of Political Science and Public Law. This is part of the university's 2026 faculty recruitment initiative (Convocatoria 2026/D/LEM/CL/1).
Department Overview
The Department of Political Science and Public Law is one of Spain’s leading research and teaching units in political science. We are seeking two new Lecturers in Political Science to strengthen our teaching and research capacity across the discipline.
This recruitment is open to scholars in any field of political science, including (but not limited to) comparative politics, political behaviour , public administration, and public policy, and political theory.
Our department hosts research groups and centers focused on democracy and citizenship, European governance, and public policy. We offer undergraduate degrees, master's programs, and doctoral studies in political science and related fields.

- Complete the online application form with your personal and professional information
- Upload required documents (see "Required Documents" section below)
- Submit your application before the deadline
Required Documents
You must submit the following documents through the selection portal:
- Copy of your identity document (valid at the time of submission, both sides)
- PhD degree or proof of having requested your PhD title
- Complete Curriculum Vitae (CV), highlighting academic merits, research achievements, work experience, and language skills relevant to the position. An optional CV template is available in Annex 2 of the recruitment bases (Bases de Convocatoria).
- Supporting documentation for all merits and achievements listed in your CV, including evidence of research mobility (Erasmus+, postdoctoral positions, research stays, etc.)
- Language proficiency certificates
Important: You may submit your documents in Catalan or Spanish.
Credential Recognition (Homologation)
International applicants with non-EU/EEA degrees should be prepared to eventually provide a credential evaluation of your PhD degree from a Spanish university Salary and
