From 25 to 30 April, the Universitat Politècnica de València has hosted and event with the debates from both Leagues and the participation of students from all the Catalan-speaking territories. This event is an example of the importance of debate and dialectic confrontation.

14 teams have competed in the University Debate League, among which there was the UAB team, which came in fifth of its group. Discussing the topical and controversial issue: Is it necessary to have a minimum of political knowledge in order to vote?, 70 students defended their arguments in the UPV’s auditorium. Finally Universitat Pompeu Fabra’s team prevailed over Universitat de Girona in the finals and won this year’s competition. However, the UAB’s team was chosen as the best team by all participants.
