The UAB delegates have attended a welcome session tostart off the new academic year. The act was presented by the vice-rector for Students and Employability Sara Moreno, who spoke about three different subjects: a project to debate the kind of university we would like the UAB to be in the 21st century, the UAB Festa Major and other information related to the Delegates’ Forum.

As Moreno stated, three dates will be set aside to create a space for discussion and joint reflection by students and administrative and service staff. These sessions will be open to all students and will deal with three different topics that might need some discussing. The first debate session will take place on 30 November and will focus on the ideal structure for degrees, or what is commonly known as 3+2. The second debate session will take place on 22 February and will focus on the rights, duties and guarantees that students should have according to the Students’ Statute. The last debate session will take place on 26 April and will focus on students’ participation at the university.

As for Festa Major on 10 November, the vice-rector encouraged students to take part in this great event along with the rest of the community. This year’s edition will revolve around an awareness-raising campaign under the motto "Stop LGBTI-phobia at the UAB".

Finally, Community Involvement presented a new mobile app to the delegates, which will allow them to be registered in elCens, get in contact with Community Involvement and access all the information about the Delegates’ Forum sessions that will be taking place this year in order to promote the role of the students’ representatives.
