UAB closes from 22 December to 6 January for the holidays

As is customary, all facilities at the Bellaterra Campus will be closed during winter break: from 22 December 2014 to 6 January 2015. Only a few of the campus services will be active during these days.

All UAB centres will be closed from 22 December 2014 to 6 January 2015. Some services, however, will be available.

The UAB security services will be working 24 hours throughout the holiday period. You can reach them at 93 581 25 25. The UAB Healthcare Service will be closed and therefore, in case of an emergency, please contact the campus security services.

The Welcome Point at the Plaça Cívica will be closed and the internal bus service will not be available during these days. For information on reaching the campus with alternative means of transport, please consult the website www.uab.cat/accessibilitat-transports.

All UAB libraries will also be closed. The study hall of the Social Sciences Library (Biblioteca de Ciències Socials) will be open every day, but with different timetables. from 9 am to 9 pm from 20 to 26 December, and from 7 am to midnight from 27 December to 6 January. On 31 December however, it will close at 9 pm and open at 9 am on 1 January. The study hall at the Plaça Cívica will open from 27 December to 6 January from 9 am to 9 pm.

The Users Support of the Computer Services (Centre de Suport i Atenció a l'Usuari - 93 581 21 00, cas@uab.cat) will be available on 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31 December from 8 am to 5 pm. For those needing to make photocopies, the photocopy machines will be functioning and the reprography store at the Plaça Cívica will be open on workdays from 8 am to 3 pm. The General Register Office (93 581 20 29, registre.general@uab.cat) located at the UAB Rectorate building will be open from 9 am to 2 pm on all workdays.

The Physical Activity Service (SAF) will be open from 9 am to 10 pm on 22, 23, 29 and 30 December and on 2 and 5 January. On 24 and 31 December however it will be open from 9 am to 8 pm. The bars and restaurants of the university will be closed, with exception of the Marmita Restaurant, which will open evenings on 24, 25, 26 and 31 December and 1, 5 and 6 January, and the Hotel Campus' cafeteria will be open until midnight (and serving meals until 10:30 pm).
