UAB celebrates the VIII Exchange Stories and Photography Contest

The VIII Exchange Stories and Photography Contest at the UAB has already winners, who were awarded on 23 April with the occasion of the Diada de Sant Jordi.

In the Stories category, the winner was Gabriela Cicci, international Psychology student, with a poem entitled “Abre la puerta al mundo”. The poem reflects the initial sensations of exchange students when they arrive to the UAB. In the Photography category, the winner was Francesca Vittadello, international Law student, with a picture of a group of exchange students making a human star in the top of the viewpoint of Turó de la Rovira in Barcelona. The picture also has the observation: “Mirando a través de sus ojos puedo recorrer el mundo en un solo día” (“Looking through their eyes I can go around the world in just one day”) and it represents the opportunity of exchange programmes to meet other countries, cultures and people from all around the world.

This year the Exchange Stories and Photography Contest has reached its 8º edition. The contest is addressed to all students participating in academic mobility programmes, both local UAB students and international students in our university. The objective of the contest is to reflect the vital experience of the student in a situation of academic transition, as well as encouraging the community to participate in academic mobility programmes.
