Professional International Mobility within the EU and from the UAB, or MIPUE UAB, forms part of the EUROACCIÓ Mentoring Programme and aims to inform and train students and graduates on internships and working opportunities in the EU, in addition to offering guidance and helping students make the most out of these professionally enriching experiences. This is the first time a university centre in Spain launches such an ambitious training initiative - with a polyhedral and holistic view on the subject - to promote professional mobility of university students and graduates at European level.

The first session will be held on Thursday 26 January and is entitled Training module on orientation and resources for working in Europe. This will be an introductory session which will take place from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the auditorium (Sala d'Actes) of the UAB Faculty of Sciences and Biosciences.  The session will be offered by Arnau Soy, the European Employment Services delegate in Girona (Servei d’Ocupació de Catalunya).

In February, MIPUE UAB will offer a Practical Workshop on How to Prepare for EU Exams (10 February) and two information sessions: one on European Commission Job Hunting Policies and Tools (15 February) and another on European Regions Offering Internship and Work Opportunities (16 February).

Debate and Participation of the University Community

MIPUE UAB will end on 4 May with an inter-university debate entitled "European Work Mobility: What Needs to Be Improved?". The debate will unite students, graduates and university associations from around Catalonia to share experiences and debate on the challenges, opportunities and possible shortages of today's European mobility. The debate session will also serve to create a document which will be later sent to the European Commission.

All details and activity forms can be found at the website: www.uab.cat/mipue. All activities are free and a certificate of attendance will be given to all participants.

MIPUE UAB is run by the Vice Rector's Office for Students and Employability and is organised by the Treball Campus, the UAB's employment service. The project has received funding from the European Commission.
