The Tàndem’s activities start again in February

With the beginning of the second Term and the arrival of new international students, the linguistic exchange activities that the Tàndem organizes will start again in February. This programme offers you the opportunity to practise different languages and get to know other cultures.

With the beginning of the second Term and the arrival of new international students, the linguistic exchange activities that the Tàndem organizes will start again in February. This programme (a shared project by the Language Service of the UAB and Community Involvement Unit) offers you the opportunity to practise different languages and get to know other cultures. The Tàndem programme also allows you to participate in other activities related to the practise of languages, like original version cinema, group talks and book clubs. You can participate in all activities individually or with your language partner.

The start date of the Tàndem will be on Wednesday 10 February from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm in the Sala d’Actes in l’Àgora, right after the international lunch of the International Welcome Days, which will take place from 8 to 11 February. There will be a variety of activities, and all of them have as their objective to do language exchange in a dynamic way. One of the activities is the Speed Tàndem, in which there are tables for each language and your language partner changes every five minutes. There is also the Speaking Time, which consists of conversations in groups.

Besides Wednesdays, you can also participate in the Tàndem on Thursdays at 1.00 pm at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting. There is also the Tàndem goes to the cinema, which organizes screenings of original version films: Volver on 24 February and Little Miss Sunshine on 16 March, at 3.00 pm.
