The student society LibreComuniti.com makes the first donation of books

On 9 December the student society LibreComuniti.com made the first donation of second-hand books to the Fundación Comparte with the objective of making the most of them in developing countries.

This initiative by LibreComuniti.com has been possible thanks to the work made throughout many months and the collaboration of all UAB students who have donated books to the entity.

On 9 December the student society LibreComuniti.com launched the first donation of second-hand books. The entity, registered in the UAB Directory of Student Societies, donated a series of boxes full of second-hand books to the Fundación Comparte with the objective of enjoying them in countries with more economic difficulties.

This initiative by LibreComuniti.com has been possible thanks to the work made throughout many months and the collaboration of all UAB students who have donated books to the entity. The books were given through a box placed in the Resource Centre for Student Societies managed by Community Involvement UAB.

Apart from the donation, LibreComuniti.com manages a series of activities related with books at the campus. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday the entity goes to the Plaça Cívica to sell the books collected for a symbolic price of 3 Euros. Besides, LibreComuniti.com also has a webpage to sell second-hand books on line and make interchanges with everybody who wishes.
