Pint of Science takes place simultaneously in several countries (the UK, France, Italy, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Japan, Thailand and Spain). This year's edition includes over 100 bars in 42 Spanish cities, with some 400 conferences programmed.

The Institute of Neuroscience (INc) and the CORE in Mental Health participate as part of the "Una mente maravillosa" cycle at the BlackLab Brewhouse bar located in the Pau Vila Square of the Barceloneta district. The conferences they will offer are:

De Renoir a Bowie. La neuroestética lo explica (Jaume Ferrer Lalanza, INc). What role does our emotional brain play in artistic perception? Why do some people see art where others see trash? What does our cultural environment have to say about it? INc researcher will offer tips on understanding art and beauty from the perspective of neuroscience.

“For scientists, bars are an ideal relaxed place in which to meet with others and talk about what they are researching and why. The audience enjoys it and being able to ask an expert about a scientific subject they are interested in while having a drink makes it an attractive€ …Ùdž£Bueno, coordinator of the festival in Spain.

According to the organisers, last year's edition was a success. In this video viewers can learn about the experiences of INc researcher Albert Quintana in last year's edition.
