Students from Hong Kong visit the UAB

The students, who are currently at the University of Hong Kong, came on a trip to Catalonia with the aim of learning more about Catalan culture and familiarizing themselves with Catalan life and politics.
 
On 12 January, the students from Hong Kong got to know about different Catalan traditions: the ball de bastons (a folk dance performed with wooden sticks) and the castellers (traditional Catalan human towers). The Bastoners de la UAB student society also organized a dance workshop for the Chinese students, where they performed the Catalan ball de bastons folk dance and taught their guests a few steps.
 
The activity, organized in collaboration with the Community Involvement Unit, was aimed at promoting the UAB and welcoming international students to our university.
