Student society AEP candidate Pilar Cortés is the new representative of elDirectori in the UAB Student Council

On 22 March 2017, all the student societies entered in the register of elDirectori were called upon to choose the new representative of elDirectori in the UAB Student Council (CEUAB), the most important body in student representation. The CEUAB seeks to communicate the students’ demands to the decision-making bodies of the university. The UAB Student Council comprises the Plenary and the Standing Committee.

From among the 55 seats at CEUAB, there is one for a representative of elDirectori, the register of the UAB student societies. The nomination B, led bycandidate Pilar Cortés of thestudent society Progressive Students’ Association (AEP), is the winner of the 2017 elections. Cortés will be the representative of elDirectori for a one-year term. From among the 80 student societies registered at the electoral roll, 34 took part in the election, which means a participation percentage of 42.5%. The nomination B, led bycandidatePilar Cortés of the student society Progressive Students’ Association (AEP), received 17 votes, while the nomination A, led by candidate Pau Cano, of the student society UAB Role Club (CRUAB), received 12 votes. There were 4 blank ballots and 1 invalid ballot. The period for claims on the interim results finishes on 27 March. If there are no claims, such results will be announced as the final outcome of the elections on this website once the Electoral Board has met.
