Participate in the Debate League 2015

The UAB Debate League, which will take place from 28 to 30 January, has the objective of promoting the correct use of language among students through dialectic confrontation.

With the arrival of 2015, the UAB prepares the celebration of the new edition of the Debate League. From 28 to 30 January, the UAB Theatre (The Agora Building) will host this activity organised by Community Involvement.

This year the chosen topic for the debate will be: "An advanced and complex society like ours could work efficiently with an economy mainly based on non-monetary exchanges?”

The UAB wants to emphasize the advantages that participating in the Debate League has for students. Speaking in public and being able to express oneself correctly in front of others is a very important skill required in young university students. In this regard, the Debate League offers an attractive and entertaining way of improving public speaking and gaining essential skills.

The competition consists of one or more debates between the participating teams that will have to defend a position for or against the chosen topic. Students who want to participate need to fill up this form. The registration period ends on 21 January.
