First Nintenderos University League competition at the UAB

The event forms part of the Engineering Welcome Day and will take place on 6 October at 6 p.m. at the entrance of the Faculty of Engineering.

As part of Engineering Welcome Day, organised for all the new students starting at the School of Engineering, the Students Council and the School jointly organise the first official Nintenderos league for university students, the First Nintenderos University League Competition.

The league will be held in different universities. Participants will need to demonstrate their abilities in the three most popular games of the Nintendo platform: Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros and Pokemon.

On 6 October at 6 p.m. participants will begin the competition at the UAB. The game chosen for the occasion will be Super Smash Bros eSport. The competition will be face-to-face and will be played with the Wii U console. The price of taking part in the competition is 1 Euro. The winner will have the chance to compete in the Final Cup and will receive a 15 Euro gift card from eShop, courtesy of StartSelect.

Inevitably, the Pokemon Go fever has also reached the UAB. Thanks to Nintenderos, another activity related to video games will be the ‘Pokemon GO Meeting’, an activity which will go by the name of Poké Tour Bellaterra. The meeting will take place on 6 October at 6:30 p.m. at the School of Engineering (Carrer de les Sitges).
