elCens closes its first year

elCens
The first year of implementation of elCens closes up with 295 delegates inscribed of all 13 UAB faculties.

07/07/2015

elCens is based on a norm aproved by the Governing Council on March 14 of 2013, which intended to give visibility and suport to the everyday task of the delegates at the UAB.

The delegate is chosen by its academic group and it is a figure of vital importance for the academic follow-up of the degrees. Nowadays elCens has 478 academic groups and 57.2% of the UAB delegates are already inscribed in it.

This past year elCens has offered two formative meetings, one in November and another in June. At the meetings the delegates could share experiences with delegates from other faculties and get to know how the UAB works and what support it offers them. They also could learn firsthand how mediation in the classroom works thanks to the experience Dr. Gillean McCluskey shared with them, and reflect with deans and degree coordinators about how the implementation of "3+2" would be at the UAB.

The delegates inscrived at elCens could give their opinion about this first year of implementation thanks to an evaluation form they could fill in so the support could be improved for the years to come.
However, there's still a long journey ahead and elCens will continue next year aiming at reaching more than 500 delegates that work everyday at the UAB.
