The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and all its university community -professor, administration and services staff and students- strongly condemn the attack on the Ramblas of Barcelona on Thursday, August 17, when a van has run over many people causing the death of several of them and many injured, as well as condemning the  attack at Cambrils.

The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona wishes to express its solidarity and full support for the victims as well as their families. He also wishes to acknowledge and highlight the work carried out by the various medical emergency and hospital services, as well as by the security forces, as well as by the citizens, who have shown their solidarity and collaboration in moments so hard as we experienced as a result of this attack.

The UAB made a minute of silence in front of the Rectorate Building, on the campus of Bellaterra, on Friday, August 18, to condemn the attack. Some members of the university community were present in it.
