On 11 May, delegates met at the Hotel d’Entitats to evaluate this academic year in five discussion groups.

The first group discussed about participation of students at the UAB: which activities for participation are offered, how much time do people dedicate to them and which are the most popular ones. Two groups analyzed the day-to-day of the delegates at the faculties: how can they do a good academic monitoring by participating in the teaching commissions of every faculty and how can they improve the communication with the academic group. A fourth group prepared a series of questions for delegates next year, which come from the questions previously asked in the different “tasts de representació” that have taken place in the faculties throughout the year. The last group analyzed the application at the UAB of the 3+2 educational model and they prepared questions to ask in the conference “Considerations about 3+2” that would take place the following day in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and in which delegates had the main role. Once discussions had finished, the different groups shared their considerations with the rest of delegates.

The II Delegates Day have been a closure of the first academic year of implementation of “El Cens” of delegates of academic group, which was born from the regulations approved by the Students Affairs Commission in 2013. This regulations aims to make the daily role of the delegates at the UAB more visible, which is really important to guarantee a good academic monitoring and the quality of education at the university. With the recognition of the delegates role by the UAB, students can express themselves and participate in the academic monitoring, which is fundamental for the good functioning of the university. “El Cens” offers students the possibility of creating networking between them and share experiences with delegates of other degrees. Now the 2014-2015 academic year ends with 286 delegates from 13 UAB faculties registered in “El Cens”.
