Cerdanyola Empresarial awards the UAB for contributing to the city's projection

Since 2012, the association of businesses from Cerdanyola del Vallès (Cerdanyola Empresarial) organises its yearly Cerdanyola Business Night, in which it awards its annual prizes. This year the event took place on 1 December at the Hotel Campus, and the UAB was awarded in recognition of its prominent role in projecting the city.

The association Cerdanyola Empresarial awarded its recognition prizes in its annual event, held on 1 December at the Hotel Campus. The UAB was awarded the "City Projection" prize, which was accepted by Carlos Sánchez, Vice Rector for Institutional and Cultural Relations of the UAB.

During the event other prizes were also awarded in recognition of the various contributions made to the development of Cerdanyola del Vallès, such as awards to professional trajectories, research and innovation and employment incentives. The IV Rotary Entrepreneurial Impulse scholarship was also awarded. The event was presided by the Catalan Minister of Business and Knowledge Jordi Baiget; the Mayor of Cerdanyola del Vallès Carles Escolà; and the President of Cerdanyola Empresarial Lluís Sisquella.

Cerdanyola Empresarial is an association of businesses located in Cerdanyola del Vallès. It was created in 2008 and its objective is to be a profitable tool in the representation of its business members in order to strengthen the business fabric of the surrounding region. Since 2012, it celebrates its yearly Cerdanyola Business Night, which brings together the city's businesses and directives. The UAB Research Park, which collaborates with the association after an agreement was signed to foster the local economy, was awarded a prize for its research and innovation in 2014. In 2015, the UAB Solidarity Foundation was awarded the prize in Corporate Social Responsibility.
