Participation in the campus has increased by 35% in comparison with the 2012-2013 academic year

This academic year, participation in the campus has increased by 35% in comparison with the 2012-2013 academic year and the total number of student societies has increased from 82 to 85. Nowadays, 8.73% of students enrolled at the UAB participate in a student society registered in the Directory. However, there are significant differences between the faculties, since the Faculties of Translation and Interpreting, Biosciences, Sciences, Philosophy and Arts, Political Science and Sociology show higher levels of participation.

Student societies registered in the Directory receive logistic support and guidance to carry out activities in the campus.

Student societies are supported by the Community Involvement Programme because of the idea of participation as a learning process in itself that makes easier the acquisition of a series of transversal skills, which are essential to become active and involved citizens.
