The Centre for Demographic Studies (CED) organises a seminar on 12, 13 and 14 July at 9:15 a.m. The event will include conferences and workshops focused on exploring the process of sociodemographic changes, with particular emphasis on population dynamics, given that many neighbourhoods in Western cities are undergoing a drastic transformation in their social composition.
The event will begin with a presentation by Albert Esteve and Antonio López from the CED, and will include talks by Oriol Nel·lo from the UAB Department of Geography, Daniel Sorando from the Department of Sociology of the Complutense University of Madrid, Cody Hochstenbach from the University of Amsterdam, and José Marcos Pinto da Cunha from the Center for Population Studies, State University of Campinas.
The seminar also will include an optional excursion offered by Daniel Pardo from the Assembly of Neighbourhoods for Sustainable Tourism, where participants will be able to observe some of the most densely populated areas of Barcelona.
