The importance of protecting your inventions on time
Description:
BigML, in collaboration with Telefónica, the law firms of Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt and FisherBroyles, and the Valencian Municipality (VIT Emprende, València Activa, and Ajuntament de València) are bringing to Spain a special event about the importance of patents in protecting your inventions expeditiously.
A patent turns your ideas into property from which you can generate revenue. It protects your invention and lets you make, hire and sell the claimed invention at your convenience. But, are these rights the same worldwide? How important is patent protection to your business? What is the effect of patents on innovation? What could happen if your IP is not properly patented? What’s the process to protect your inventions? Are there specific grants or awards when patenting? All these questions will be addressed at this event from three different perspectives: a startup, a big corporation, and a legal point of view, for both European and US companies.
This workshop evidence the importance of being IP-aware, as protecting the Intellectual Property (IP) of your business is key for its commercial success, whether your product is on the market or still under development. By patenting your ideas, your brand, your offerings, you are making your company stronger, more competitive in the marketplace, and definitely more attractive for investors willing to support your company.
