Bowen Gu winner of the Best Paper Award at the "Workshop on the Chinese Development Model"
ICTA-UAB researcher Bowen Gu won the Best Paper Award at the 1st International Workshop on the Chinese Development Model, held 7-8 July 2022 in Barcelona under the heading “Defying mainstream economic theories to achieve unprecedented progress”.
The workshop, organized by the IQS School of Management of the Universitat Ramon Llull, aimed to assemble academic contributions addressing current opportunities and challenges to China’s National Economic and Social Development and Long-Term Objectives.
It also explored how ongoing and upcoming reforms will affect its future prosperity and global relations. The Conference included distinguished keynote speakers, roundtable forums, and parallel sessions.
The Best Paper Award, endowed with a cash prize of 1,000 euros, was granted to the best early-career paper carried out by authors under 36 years old.
Bowen Gu presented her work “Black gold and green growth – environmental justice in China’s coal-based economy”, based on the Environmental Justice Atlas (EJAtlas) of ICTA-UAB.
