Dr. Andrew Bell will be presenting his research on the use of surveys, behavioural experiments, and agent-based models to understand decision-making in the areas of agricultural development, water management, migration, and livelihoods. He will be talking about data challenges in modeling behaviors, and the boundaries of what’s possible in designing experiments with resource users to inform models. This work will also touch on what it means to engage actors at different scales in the agri-SES (from farmers through extension to higher-scale decision makers).

Andrew Bell is Associate Professor at Boston University. His research focuses on the use of surveys, behavioral experiments, and agent-based models to understand decision-making in the areas of: agricultural development, water management, migration, and livelihoods.
