CERTEC-UPC, together with Pau Costa Foundation, is organizing the Forum on Catalan Wildfire Research that will take place on November 6th at EEBE Campus Diagonal-Besòs (UPC). It will be a space for discussing with all key actors about research, collaboration opportunities and challenges towards a more applied research. The Forum will also be an event for networking and creation of synergies between key actors, and for exploring funding opportunities for research and development.

ICTA-UAB researcher, Gonzalo Gamboa will introduce a pioneering project which aims to design prevention strategies for forest fires occurring in the Montseny Biosphere Reserve through a citizen participation process. The project has received funding from the Biodiversity Foundation of the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition, through its call for grants for climate change adaptation projects.
