The course Security Management and Law is a reformulation of the 25-ECTS-credit programme of the same name, which Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the School of Risk Prevention and Occupational Safety have offered over 55 editions on the UAB campus and in other Autonomous Regions.
The current credit distribution is intended to align with the new draft regulations on private security which are now being drawn up, and which link this training to professional credentials as director of private security and head of private security.
This course responds to a demand for continuous professional development and specialisation from security personnel, especially from those wishing to move ahead in their careers and qualify as directors of security or heads of security.
- Recognised by the Institute of Public Safety of Catalonia (ISPC) as an in-service training activity addressed to members of the Catalonia police and firefighting forces.
- Class attendance of at least 80% is required for course certificates to be issued.
- Timetables compatible with working hours.
- Financial support through Fundación Tripartita (FUNDAE).
