Heritage Week at the UAB
Description:
The UAB organises this week as a way of giving visibility to the richness and diversity of its university's artistic, natural, scientific, documentary, bibliographic and intangible heritage. Through a series of activities, the community will be able to discover this legacy from a diversity of perspectives and disciplines.
The activities, open to the entire community, have been designed and led by students from the bachelor's degrees in Art History and in Humanities. By fostering the bond between students, faculty and staff of the UAB, they promote a critical, open and interdisciplinary perspective on the university's heritage and its social, cultural and educational value.

Description:
Toni and Júlia, two siblings with opposing personalities face difficult decisions about life and death following the illness of their dog Rita and of their mother. Rita is a tragicomedy about family, the difficulty of letting go of loved ones, and the limits of deciding about the death of others.

Information session: professional opportunities in the European institutions
Description:
An information session entitled "Inside the EU: professional opportunities at European institutions" will take place on 13 April at 4:00 p.m. The event is organised by the UAB European Documentation Centre, with the aim of raising awareness of the benefits of a career in the field of the EU institutions. The conference will be given by speaker Tilmann Morata, policy officer in the Clean, Just & Competitive Transition team of the Commission Priorities and Strategic Coordination unit (DG Competition, European Commission). Morata will discuss his personal experience within the European institutions, as well as explain which are the most suitable itineraries to guide the start of a career in the EU.
The seminar is part of the context of the upcoming public examinations for administrators called by the European Personnel Selection Office, with a total of 1,490 individuals expected to work in these entities. The call allows access to a professional career in the field, in addition to offering opportunities for graduates with different profiles, such as in economics, law, governance, and international relations. The scheduled activity will be held in an online format through Microsoft Teams. To attend, it is necessary to register using the following form.

Cultural Fair for Student Associations and Councils: Culture in the Square
Description:
On 14 April, from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m., the Bellaterra campus will host its first Cultural Fair for Student Associations and Councils: Culture in the Square. This event is organised with the aim of strengthening campus cultural life and creating new spaces for interaction within the university community, with the goal of highlighting the richness of the student association network and creating a space for socialising where initiatives, interests and projects can be shared, helping to make the university a vibrant community.
The event will take place in the Plaça Cívica.

Research and publication tools and strategies for the EU
Description:
The UAB European Documentation Centre is organising the workshop "Tools and strategies for research and publication on EU topics". The event will take place on 14 April at 12:30 p.m. at the CDE. The main objective of this seminar is to learn and improve in researching specialised sources and publishing academic content from the EU field to generate a greater impact on society.
The session "Research support services in the UAB libraries" is featured among the programmed activities, and will be given from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. by Núria Álvarez, manager of research services. The session "Keys to successfully publishing articles and research papers on the EU" will also take place from 1:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with Conxi Muñoz, CDE's head documentalist, editor of the journal Quaderns IEE and coordinator of MOOCs on EU topics. Both workshops allow you to locate the most appropriate research references to consult information on the EU, find out what research support tools are offered by the UAB libraries involved, and discover the practical keys to successfully publishing articles and research papers on the EU. To attend, it is necessary to register using the following form. A total of 20 places are available.
