Inaguration of the exhibition "Veus visuals per a la salut mental universitària"
Description:
An exhibition by the Università degli Studi di Cagliari focusing on student's mental health. The displayed images, such as "United Under the Storm" or "Up to the Top", symbolise the importance of collective support, accompaniment, and the need to simplify processes to promote well-being within the university community.

Online seminar on cooperation between academic entities and NGOs
Description:
The UAB is organising the online seminar HEIs-NGOs Cooperation for the SDGs. Insights from the UAB and the ABD on 2 December, which will focus on cooperation between higher education institutions and third sector entities to advance in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The session will feature the participation of representatives from the UAB and the Associació Benestar i Desenvolupament (ABD).
Participating in the seminar will be: Myra Ronzoni, project manager of ECIU, the European alliance of the UAB, and member of the EDU4SDG project at the UAB; Dorota Piotrowska, professor at the Lodz University of Technology; and Catarina Alves, project manager of the ABD. They will offer their vision on the opportunities for cooperation between academia and social entities. Two practical cases will also be presented by Daniel Franco, lecturer at the UAB, and Myra Ronzoni, which will exemplify experiences of collaboration.

Regions and migratory policies: interconnections and challenges
Description:
The Research Group on Immigration and Ethnic Minorities (GEDIME) and the Centre for Migration Studies and Research (CER Migracions) of the UAB will be holding a seminar entitled Regiones y políticas migratorias: interconexiones y desafíos [Regions and Migration Policies: Interconnections and Challenges] on 3 December. The seminar will focus on the current challenges of migration governance and include the participation of Leonardo Cavalcanti, lecturer at the University of Brasilia and coordinator of the International Migration Observatory of Brazil (OBMigra); Paola Garcia, lecturer in the Department of Hispanic and Latin American Studies at the University of Paris 8; and Sònia Parella and Massoud Sharifi, lecturers in the Department of Sociology of the UAB and researchers at GEDIME and CER Migracions.

8th Institutional Conference on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities
Description:
The UAB will be celebrating the Eighth Institutional Conference on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on Wednesday 3 December. The initiative, organised by the Equality and Diversity Service, will include several activities and is part of the institutional commitment to promoting an inclusive academic community, sensitive to the multiple realities linked to disability.
This year's edition will focus on the advocacy and promotion of rights linked to the mental health of people with disabilities, with the aim of generating a space for critical reflection and dissemination of healthcare models that promote real progress in this area.
The event will take place at the conference hall of the Rectorat building. A conference entitled "Universities that care: the Quality Rights model in the academic community" will given by Magda Casamitjana i Aguilà, former student of the UAB and coordinator of Quality Rights in mental health at Sant Joan de Déu and Fundació Hospitalàries. Immediately afterwards, Vice-Rector for Students and Employability Anabel Galán will present the Impuls grants award ceremony.
The event will end at 2:00 p.m. with a speech by UAB Secretary General Esther Zapater and a performance of the Community Choir in the UAB Theatre Hall.

Fifth Inclusive Art Week
In addition to the institutional event, the UAB celebrates its 5th Inclusive Art Week from 20 November to 3 December, with activities that reinforce the university's commitment to building a diverse and inclusive academic community aware of the multiple realities linked to disability.

Conference on professional careers in the European Union
Description:
The UAB Employability Service and the European Documentation Centre are organising the conference “The professional career in the European Union” on Wednesday 3 December. It will feature the participation of Carlos Pérez Padilla, UAB alumni and European Union civil servant. The activity is aimed at undergraduate, master’s and PhD students, as well as the general public. Prior registration is required to attend.
