"Towards a clear and accessible communication" with Anna Matamala in the Expert's Seat of the Science Carriage
Description:
Anna Matamala is lecturer in the Department of Translation and Interpreting and East Asian Studies, and researcher of the UAB TransMedia Catalonia group, as well as director of AccessCat.
Occupying the Expert's Seat of the Science Carriage, Anna Matamala will speak on what accessibility to information and communication is and what it implies, and why there is a need of developing tools that can break language, cultural and social barriers, thereby offering media channels that are more accessible to everyone.
The activity will take place on 5 March on the train departing from the UAB at 10:42 a.m. in direction of Plaça Catalunya.

Concert La Zarzamora
Description:
La Zarzamora is a music ensemble formed in 2025 by soprano Inés Alonso, plucked string player Jeremy Nastasi, and viol player Marc de la Linde. After years of collaborating in various groups specializing in Renaissance and Baroque repertoire, the three musicians come together under a single name to explore the richness of historical music with a fresh and approachable perspective. On this occasion, the ensemble collaborates with Mireia Peñalver, a result of artistic chemistry and a desire to expand the musical dialogue.
They will offer two 45-minute concerts, at 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

Description:
Training aimed at understanding conflict as an opportunity for transformation and improvement in personal, professional, and collective relationships. Mediation and conflict resolution tools will be developed from a practical, integrative perspective that respects both people and processes.

Humans and animals: a vital bond. Health, emotions and coexistence
Description:
The Seminaris a l’Abast series is a training space for dynamisation and participation, where current and interesting topics are discussed. The series includes 8 sessions lasting 2 hours each, independent of each other, and with a total duration of 16 hours. Registration can be made for the entire series or for individual sessions, and can be attended online or in person.
On 18 March, the seminar “Humans and animals: a vital bond. Health, emotions and coexistence” will take place. The relationship between people and animals will be reflected on from an interdisciplinary perspective. It will explore how this bond influences people's physical and emotional health and, specifically, the benefits of animal-assisted therapies. The event will feature the participation of Manel López Béjar, veterinarian and dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

Spring's La Comunitària
Description:
Between 12pm and 4pm on 14 April, the Bellaterra campus will host spring's La Comunitària. This cultural day aims to bring together the university community in a series of leisure and cultural activities organised by the associations registered at elDirectori, the UAB's register of associations, the student councils and the different community services.
The activity will take place in the Knowledge Square. You can also find activities in other areas of the campus such as the Humanities Library or the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting.
