The Faculty of Biosciences presents its new master's degree Master in Health and Science Management

Master in Health & Science Management

The Faculty of Biosciences, together with the Vall d'Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO), offers a new UAB-specific master's degree in science management, Master’s Degree in Health and Science Management, entirely in English, blended learning, which will begin its first edition next academic year 2022/2023. This Master’s degree has been approved by the UAB Governing Council, in a session held on April 28, 2022.

The aim of this Master’s degree is to provide a comprehensive and cross-sectional view of the management processes of scientific research, providing knowledge that allows the development of strategic skills that highlight the managerial qualities in research institutions in the biosanitary field. Thus the Master's degree responds to the need for an increasingly in-demand professional profile in our research system. 

The Master’s degree is structured in two parts and consists of 6 modules, plus an internship module in reference centers and a Master’s Thesis. Passing the first 30 ECTS will allow you to obtain a postgraduate diploma. 

The Master’s degree will be under the coordination of Dr. Mercè Martí, professor of the Department of Cell Biology, Physiology and Immunology, and Dr. Alejandro Piris, Scientific Research Manager at VHIO. 

An information session on the Master's Degree will take place on May 17, at 12:00, within the UAB's Virtual Fair for Master's Degrees, Graduate Courses and PhD Programmes.
