Gemma Puigvert is the finalist of the "María Martínez Sierra" Award

Gemma Puigvert, lecturer in the Department of Antiquity and the Middle Ages, has been chosen the finalist of the ADE's "María Martínez Sierra" Award in Theatrical Translation for her work in translating Terence's play Adelphoe.

On 4 March at 7:00 p.m., the Teatro de la Comedia in Madrid which is the headquarters of the National Classical Theatre Company, will celebrate the awards ceremony of the 37th edition of the ADE Awards, which are awarded yearly by the Spanish Association of Theatre Directors after being voted by its members. Among this year's finalists is lecturer Gemma Puigvert Planagumà, from the Classical Studies of the Department of Antiquity and Middle Ages of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting. She was voted for her translation of Terence's Adelphoe into Catalan (Els germans, Barcelona, Edicions La Magrana, 2022). In 202, Dr Puigvert was awarded the UAB's 2nd Teaching Excellence Award.
