21/10/2020

From 21 October to 18 December members of the university community (staff and students) can receive a flu shot at the UAB Healthcare Service. The vaccine campaign is available to all members of the university community, especially those at risk of developing flu-related complications.

The Ministry for Health of the Government of Catalonia, recommends influenza vaccines to anyone over 60 years old, pregnant women, people with chronic diseases, morbid obesity, carers of any of the aforementioned groups and people from the essential services sector. Due to the current epidemiological situation and the importance of keeping education services active, for this 2020-2021 campaign all members of the public teaching sector will also be considered essential and vaccination is recommended.

The UAB Healthcare Service also administers the antitetanus/antidiphtheria vaccine, and the Hepatitis A and B vaccines. The Healthcare Service is open Mondays to Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3:30 pm to 7 p.m. You must make an appointment by calling 93 581 18 00 or 93 581 27 94.
