Sedimentology
Dedicated laboratory facility for preparation of soil and sediment samples (cutting cores, drying and homogenising samples) and drilling artefacts. Composed of large table sinks with sediment decanters.
Other facilities include:
- Walk-in freezer and fridge
- Telestar and Zirbus sublimator 400 freeze-dryers
- Extraction arm
- Convection oven
- Mixer mill
- Wacker Neuson motorcorer
- Sieves of various size fractions, and outer diameters
- Pressure washing system
