You will become a specialist in spatial and urban planning, and you will learn to analyse social dynamics, write up proposals and take decisions on the management of areas and that of its inhabitants.
During your first semester, you will produce territorial planning tools, while in your second semester, you will complete your training in the field of your interest: mobility, tourism, housing, local development or water management, always from the viewpoint of territorial planning. You will also take part in external work placements in firms and public administration departments in which many of our students later go on to work in professionally.
You will be in charge of designing a real municipal project and starting on the first day, you will be working hands-on with town councillors, municipal technicians, architects and urban planners.
In addition, this master's degree offers a series of conferences which include the participation of prestigious guest speakers from around the world, experts in urban planning, housing, ordinance, mobility, etc.
Lecturers include academics and internationally renowned professionals working in the sectors of urban planning, the design of neighbourhoods, the creation of new metropolitan mobility models, and the management of current tourism trends.
Once you have completed the master's degree you will be prepared to enter the labour market as a technician in territorial planning, socio-economic studies of neighbourhood designs, urban development and territorial management projects, and as a mobility consultant.
All of this in a modern working environment that uses all of the latest technologies to offer both on-site and remote teaching, organised by the country's top department of Geography and at a modern and innovative university.
The master's degree has given me a transversal vision of territorial planning and has offered me tools to work and make decisions about the territory.Berta Busquets
The master's degree offers the possibility of working on territorial issues with people from diverse academic backgrounds and from different countries. It is very interdisciplinary and the discussion in class helps a lot.Alejandro Campana
