With a methodology that guarantees individual attention and monitoring of students and importance is given to participative attitudes, this master's degree provides training focused on the competent implication of philosophy in social, ethical and epistemological issues in professional and practical spheres of life and today's world. From the fields of bioethics, animal ethics, economics ethics, applied aesthetics, the audiovisual culture and technoscience, and feminism and gender and LGTBIQ+ studies, students will acquire the essential tools needed grasp and have an impact on cognitive and regulatory issues related to changes and transformations in the currently existing economic, social, political, technical and ideological fields which demand deep thought.
The master's degree is part of the EuroPhilosophie studies and the Master Mundus in German and French Philosophy: Contemporary Issues (PhiAFEC). Therefore, students will be able to enjoy an international learning environment and, thanks to a grants programme offered exclusively at the UAB, students can also take advantage of a short research stay at the coordinating centre, the University of Toulouse - Jean Jaurès.

Career options
Once you have completed the master's degree in Applied Philosophy you will be equipped with the skills needed to work in multidisciplinary groups dedicated to different aspects of philosophical, political, artistic and scientific research. You will be prepared to join ethical committees (applied ethics, bioethics), art foundations (applied aesthetics, art research) and in different work centres (in the areas of philosophy pfeducation, business ethics, philosophy of artificial intelligence, etc.).You will also have the capacity to teach and/or research at university level and in public and private research centres.
