Access to this master's degree is open to holders of an official bachelor's degree from a Spanish university or from another higher education institution within or outside the European Higher Education Area, provided this gives access to postgraduate studies in the country of issue.Admission requirements

To access the master’s program, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree, licentiate or diploma, preferably in Social Sciences (Sociology, Political Science, Anthropology, Education Sciences, Labor Sciences, Labor Relations, Economics, Social Psychology and Communication Sciences, and degrees related to these fields) and Humanities (History, Geography, Humanities and degrees related to these fields).
Selection criteria
When the number of applications exceeds the number of available places, the following criteria are applied:
- Academic record: 40%
- Previous studies in Sociology, Political Science, Anthropology, Economics, Education Sciences, Social Psychology, Labor Relations or equivalent: 35%
- Professional experience (Curriculum vitae): 5%
- English level equal to or higher than B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages of the Council of Europe: 10%
- Motivation letter: 10%

Students coming from Social Sciences studies are exempt from taking the additional training courses. The previous studies of students coming from Humanities will be analyzed by the Master’s committee, and if applicable, the need to take certain additional courses will be established. In all other cases, where the candidate does not hold a bachelor’s, licenciatura or diplomatura degree in Social Sciences, the additional courses will be mandatory. These courses are designed to ensure an adequate foundation in sociology or political science and consist of the following subjects:
- Methodology and Design of Social Research (6 credits)
- Social Change and Globalization (6 credits)
