Official recognition is given to between 33 and 51 credits on this degree in the case of students who qualified through CFGS (Advanced professional training) in Environmental Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Processing Industries, Analysis and Control Laboratory Analysis and Control Quality.

The ideal student for this course should have the following qualities:- Curiosity, ability to observe and analyse phenomena, and deductive ability.
- Ability to reason with logic and a rigorous analysis.
- Abstract thinking ability.
- Interest in research and experimentation.

- Mathematical abilities.
- Ability to work in an ordered, rigorous and methodical way.
It is recommendable to have a good level in mathematics, physics and chemistry, plus a knowledge of English.
