What do we talk about when we talk about ‘fake news’? Is this term useful to understand the phenomena of disinformation that concern us in our society? What is new and what is not in the current concern about “fake news”? What can we use to understand how the media works to think about how to deal with disinformation? These are some of the issues addressed by the journalist and anthropologist Jo.o França in the session he has given in the Official Master of the Department of Media, Communication and Culture.
