2nd Teaching Innovation Conference: Teaching, Technology and Law: Experiences and Reflections on Innovation

On December 12, the UAB Faculty of Law will hold the 2nd Teaching Innovation Conference — a space to share experiences and reflect on how technology and new methodologies can transform the teaching of law.

On December 12, the Faculty of Law at UAB will host the 2nd Teaching Innovation Conference, a meeting space to share innovative experiences in legal education and reflect on how technology can enhance university teaching. 

The conference will open with Dr. Stefania Giombini (History of Law, UAB) and the presentation of the book Innovation in the Teaching and Learning of Law: Between Dogmatic Tradition and the Challenges of the 21st Century, presented by Montserrat Solé, Zuley Fernández and Santiago Robert (Faculty of Law, UAB).

Copies will then be presented to Dr. Susana Navas, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Ricardo Esteban, Dean 2022–2025.

First Panel: Administrative Law and Constitutional Law

Moderated by Montserrat Solé, Professor of Labour Law (UAB).

Participants:

  • Dr. Anna Capellà, Professor of Constitutional Law (UAB)
  • Dr. Montserrat Iglesias, Professor of Administrative Law (UAB)

This panel will explore how innovative approaches can enhance the teaching of public and institutional law, sharing best practices in the integration of active and digital methodologies.

Second Panel: Civil Law and International Law

Moderated by Santiago Robert, Professor of Civil Law (UAB).

Participants:

  • Dr. Sandra Camacho, Professor of Civil Law (UAB)
  • Dr. Cristina Blasi, Professor of Public International Law (UAB)

The session will address new trends in the teaching of private and international law, highlighting the impact of digitalisation, project-based learning, and the global perspective in legal education.

Closing Lecture

Dr. Josep Cañabate, Director of the IURISLAB Legal Clinic and Coordinator of the Innovadret Group (2022–2025), will deliver the closing lecture, focusing on knowledge transfer and practical learning as key pillars of teaching innovation.

The institutional closing will be given by Dr. Alfredo Ramírez Nardiz, Professor of Constitutional Law (UAB).

With this conference, the Faculty of Law reaffirms its commitment to teaching quality, pedagogical innovation, and adaptation to the new challenges of legal education.
