At the end of the course the students will be able to: 

  • Understand patient’s interactive behaviour according to gender, cultural background, and social context. 

  • Identify social determinants of health. 

  • Understand how health and illness are socially constructed. 

  • Analyse the social inequalities that are manifested from the axes of social inequality and the needs that are derived. 

  • Understand people without prejudice, considering their physical, psychological, and social aspects, and ensuring respect for their opinions, beliefs and values. 

  • Recognize the importance of transcultural nursing and clinical cultural competence.
