Professor Amparo Huertas, coordinator of the UNESCO Chair in Communication and director of the Institute of Communication (InCom-UAB), will participate in the round table "Impact of Artificial Intelligence: challenges, opportunities and prospects in higher education in Ibero-America", which will take place on June 27, at the University of Lima (Peru). Those registered will be able to follow the debate live by streaming, which will begin at 6 pm (at 11 am in Lima). Carlos Alberto Cortés, Manuel Alejandro Guerrero and Julio César Mateus, representatives of the UNESCO Chairs of Communication of, respectively, the Javeriana University of Bogot. (Colombia), the Ibero-American University of Mexico and the University of Lima, will also take part.

Next Thursday, July 4 at 12:30 pm, the Sala de Graus will host the third edition of the “Compromiso Somos” Awards, organized by the Department of Journalism and Communication Sciences of the UAB. These awards recognize the trajectory of members of the department who have contributed time, effort and affection for years to teaching, research and management at the UAB and other academic forums.

In previous editions, Teresa Velszquez, Gabriel Jaraba, María José Recoder and Siscu Baiges have been awarded. This year, the recognition will be for Marcial Murciano and José Manuel Pérez Tornero.
