Presentation of the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia
Description:
The Faculty of Communication Sciences will host the presentation of the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia, an initiative that seeks to promote the collaboration and development of the audiovisual sector in the region.
Eduard Gil, renowned expert and responsible for the management and management of the Cluster, will be in charge of leading the talk, where the objectives, activities and perspectives of this platform will be discussed in the context of the Catalan audiovisual panorama. The event will provide a unique opportunity for students and professionals interested in learning more about the functioning of the Cluster.

Conference ¿How to manage a crisis? Institutional communication and protocol»
Description:
The conference will be given by Marc Bataller, Secretary of the Media and Diffusion of the Generalitat, is organized jointly with the Department of Advertising, Public Relations and Audiovisual Communication of the Faculty and is aimed at students, professors and members of the university community interested in the subject.
His talk will address the main aspects of crisis management in the framework of institutional communication, providing a detailed vision of how to deal with these situations efficiently.
The event will be open to everyone without prior registration and the entire university community is invited to join this unique opportunity to learn and exchange knowledge in the field of institutional communication and protocol.

Conference "On aesthetic violence and grassophobia in the media"
Description:
What is beauty? Is it a gift of nature, a personal choice or a social obligation? Is it important in the world we live in? Sandra Gonfaus, graduate in Communication and Cultural Industries (UB), Master in Gender and Communication (UAB) and working member of the Trama cooperative, will give a session on how aesthetic violence and fatophobia are represented in the media. As a woman traversed by fatness, she is an activist and also teaches workshops and researches on the intersection between gender, grassophobia and aesthetic violence. Based on our own experiences, the analysis of images and audiovisual pieces we will reflect on the aesthetic violence and the grassophobia that surrounds us and how it oppresses us, especially women and dissident genres.

Conference "MediaLab Innova UAB: Innovation and challenges of media systems»
Description:
The MediaLab Innova UAB conference cycle: Innovation and challenges of media systems is inaugurated at the Faculty of Communication Sciences with the aim of bringing experiences from the professional world to the classrooms. The talks are organized by the teaching team of Communication Structure of the Degree in Journalism, and are linked to this subject.
The speakers this year are Albert Salord, director of Digital Strategy of Nation and the Grup Edicions de Premsa Local (22 March); Adrià Serra, head of Digital Contents and Transmedia Strategy of the Catalan Corporation of Audiovisual Media-3Cat (April 19); and Sylvia Montilla, head of the Research, Studies and Publications Unit of the Consell de l’Audiovisual de Catalunya (CAC) (3 May).
The programme of the cycle aims to provide students with the point of view of several relevant actors in the Catalan media system, with representation of a private medium, of an audience, and of the audiovisual regulatory body. In this way, the aim is to address the challenges of digitization from different perspectives and with the involvement of the sectors involved. The talks are open to all the students and teachers of the Faculty who want to attend.
