01.20 Escola Universitària d'Infermeria de Vic
Escola Universitària d’Infermeria de Vic was established in 1981 with the aim of providing higher education in nursing in the Osona region, expanding access to healthcare studies beyond the major urban centres. From its inception, it operated as an affiliated institution of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, which enabled it to offer the official Nursing degree with the academic support of the UAB.
Throughout its history, the school consolidated an educational offering focused on clinical practice, community health, and the preparation of professionals for the Catalan healthcare system. Over time, and as part of the institutional evolution of the region, the institution became integrated into the university structure that would eventually form the Universitat de Vic – Universitat Central de Catalunya (UVic-UCC), ceasing to operate as an affiliated institution of the UAB.
