01.06 Escola Bressol Gespa

Escola Bressol Gespa was established in 1974 on the Campus of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Bellaterra) with the aim of providing early childhood education services to the university community.

In 1998, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona created the Fundació Privada Gespa, which became the governing body responsible for the management and administration of the Escola Bressol Gespa.

For decades, the Escola Bressol Gespa combined the provision of educational services for children aged 0 to 3 with its role as a training and research centre for future teachers and education professionals, maintaining close links with the Facultat de Ciències de l’Educació de la UAB.
