01.12 Escola Universitària d'Infermeria del Vall d'Hebron
The Escola Universitària d’Infermeria de la Vall d’Hebron was established in the 1966–1967 academic year in association with the Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron, with the aim of training nursing professionals in a highly complex healthcare environment. In 1977, nursing studies were granted university status, and the School became an affiliated centre of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).
Over the years, the institution has adapted to changes in both the higher education and healthcare systems, culminating in the implementation of the Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within the framework of the European Higher Education Area. Today, the School continues to play a key role in the practical and clinical training of UAB nursing students, benefiting from its close integration with a leading university hospital.
