Eina, Escola de Disseny i Art was founded in 1967 as an innovative school dedicated to art and design, with a modern and open teaching approach influenced by emerging European trends.

From its beginnings, Eina has stood out for fostering creativity, critical thinking, and the connection between culture, society, and design. Over time, it has established itself as a leading institution in Catalonia, expanding its academic offerings and strengthening links between design education and the professional world.

In 1994, Eina became an affiliated centre of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), and since then it has consolidated its position as a benchmark institution for design and arts education in Catalonia.
