01.24 Escola Universitària del professorat d'EGB de Girona
Escola Universitària del Professorat d’EGB de Girona was established during the 1970s as part of the territorial expansion of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, which at the time was responsible for teacher training in several locations across Catalonia. The institution provided the Girona region with its first stable university-level educational programme and became a key centre for pedagogical innovation, with its academic activities fully integrated into the structure of the UAB.
Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, the school consolidated its reputation as a leading institution in teaching methodology and educational practice, establishing close links with the regional education system. Its trajectory culminated in its integration into the Universitat de Girona in 1991, when it became one of the founding pillars of the new university and the origin of the present-day Facultat d’Educació i Psicologia.
